Why can my order tracking stay stuck at certain times of the year?
Certain periods of the year can affect the pace of carriers and the updating of tracking. At different times, many European carriers reduce their activity due to:
annual leave,
partial closures of logistical hubs, or
certain international routes temporarily reaching capacity.
This can cause:
less frequent departures to certain destinations,
longer delivery times,
tracking that remains temporarily frozen.
Tracking may indicate that your parcel remains in the same hub for several days, without indicating a real problem with your order.
Which periods are affected?
Some periods of the year impact the pace of carriers and the updating of tracking:
๐ Summer break
Mainly in August.
These slowdowns recur each year, but the exact dates may vary depending on the carrier and the country.
โ๏ธ Winter break
Slowdown after Christmas, with many public holidays and reduced activity around these dates.
Carriers do not all operate their services the day before and the day after holidays and are closed on December 25 and January 1.
Why do some orders stay pending?
When the carrier does not provide departures to a specific destination, some orders remain pending for shipment. They are prepared and shipped as soon as the carrier resumes departures.
What you should do
You do not need to take any action.
GONG cannot accelerate these shipments during these periods.
