Tax refund through Zapptax

Zapptax is a third-party organization specialized in handling tax refund formalities for purchases made in France by customers living abroad. Through this platform, partial VAT (value added tax) refunds are possible.

To qualify for tax refund, customers must:

Provide a valid residential address outside the EU or in an overseas territory with tax rules that allow for tax refunds.
Meet a minimum purchase amount of €100.01, a sum set by current laws and regulations.
Enter the Zapptax billing address before confirming the order to be eligible for tax refund.

Here are the steps to follow:

Shipping address.
On the first basket confirmation page, fill in your delivery address. Then, click on "Continue to shipping", and once your shipping method chosen, click on "Continue to payment".
Billing address.
On the payment page, go on the last block (below the payment method), and select "Use a different billing address". You must enter the following address there:

Tax refund request.
Visit ZAPPTAX's website or use the mobile application (App Store link / Google Play link) and provide the required information: a copy of your passport and proof of residence abroad.
Export Slip.
The export slip is generated by Zapptax. Export your goods and present your export slip to customs within three months from the date of issue. You will be permanently exempt from the Value Added Tax (VAT) when customs confirms the export slip. The refund will then be processed by Zapptax according to the rates indicated here.

Since Zapptax is an independent third-party entity separate from GONG, any contractual relationship related to tax refund will be exclusively with Zapptax. As an external service provider, GONG cannot be held responsible for any issues, delays, or difficulties encountered during the VAT refund process by Zapptax.

Please note that GONG does not charge any commission on the VAT refund service.
